Check the sponsor first
A dependant renewal relies on an eligible sponsor with a suitable current residence position. Check the sponsor’s visa, identity record and contact details before preparing the family application. Company or employment changes can affect which supporting evidence is needed.
Review every dependant separately
Passport expiry, current residence validity and Emirates ID details should be checked for each family member. Adult and child requirements differ, including medical fitness. Updated photographs or corrected personal information may be required even where the previous application was accepted.
Remove steps that do not apply
A straightforward renewal does not always include the same entry and status transactions as a brand-new application. Do not compare totals without checking the included steps. Cancelled residence, prolonged absence or changed sponsorship can require a different assessment.
Build a complete renewal budget
Ask for immigration, medical fitness, Emirates ID and assistance charges separately. Insurance and outstanding penalties may need an additional review. Confirm the renewal window and keep the receipt and application reference so you can track follow-up requests and issue status.
