Begin with birth registration
The hospital notification usually starts the document journey. Check the baby’s name, parents’ details and spelling before the birth certificate is issued. Errors can carry forward into the passport and residence application, so an early review is worthwhile.
Prepare the passport application
Each nationality has its own consular passport process. Ask the embassy or consulate about registration, photographs, parent attendance and appointment availability. An attested marriage certificate or additional civil records may be required; prepare these while arranging the birth certificate.
Apply within the permitted period
UAE-born children need their residence position regularised within the applicable deadline. Confirm the current deadline for the baby’s case with the issuing authority rather than relying on a general social-media summary. Passport delays do not necessarily suspend immigration deadlines.
Complete residence and identity steps
Once the passport is available, check sponsorship eligibility, insurance and the application documents. The newborn calculator estimates the relevant government steps.
